Hi, I'm John Abild, owner of Restoration Workshop. Thanks for stopping in to see what we do.
My dad was a fixer. He could repair almost anything, it seemed. In fact when he retired from his engineering career he chose as his retirement pastime to repair stringed instruments for the school system in his town. He would take dropped or sat-upon violins and cellos and make them usable again.
So I guess fixing broken things was in my genes, as well. As a kid I liked polishing dull things and making them sparkle again--I still do! Making broken and battered furniture look good again is a real pleasure, which is why I started this business in 1991. It's like having a hobby as a profession!
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake .
Psalm 23:3
